Job Title: Platform Design & Technology Associate

General Statement of Duties: Join Sustainable Future.org We are an exciting local-to-global sustainability movement for community unification through a technology and gamification platform. We are looking for an engaged passionate advocate for a part-time opportunity to: spearhead and oversee online campaign development by promoting positive environmental, health, and community resilience behavior changes. Duties as assigned will include:
Provide digital support and data for all facets of campaign development
Customize the platform to make the user experience compelling and impact-focused, including assisting in the writing of campaign content and campaign marketing and communications
Guide usage of web-based sustainability engagement technology platform among not only local organizations and citizens in Santa Barbara County, but organizations outside of Santa Barbara County as well
Set up new organization users onto the platform, provide training, reporting and drive engagement.
Identify ways to leverage the platform to drive maximum positive actions in support of Sustainable Future’s objectives
Act as technical liaison with the WeSpire and Sustainable Future teams, providing feedback and ensuring full utilization of resources
Generate quarterly and annual reports for members highlighting their accomplishments on the platform
Assist with member outreach and customer support
Attend business meetings, taking diligent notes and showcasing the benefits of Sustainable Future memberships to potential customers
Supervision Received: Director of Engagement
Supervision Exercised: Be an accountable, self-starter individual who is adept at technology and may require little supervision, and will take ownership over the tech platform.
Experience Required: Technical proficiency with online platform design and utilization. Experience with training and team communications. Environmental education and experience background a plus. Strengths as a team player, fast learner, responsive, and a positive and forward thinking mindset!
Hours/Compensation: $15/hour, approximately 10 hours/week, Independent Contractor
Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, lifting and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate online. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and deliver communications.
Environmental Conditions: Remote, work from home. Occasional exposure to outdoors and local travel to organizational partners as well as attending community events may be required. Work may be stressful at times.
